This. This hits. Thank you for laying all it out. While this topic is multi-facited and nuanced, what's said here is as real as the words you've read in this article.

The worst part of dealing with privilege and privileged people is how there's nothing fair about it, and there's almost no recourse. There's a Huge Lack of self-awareness and impact, that the non-privildged have to contend and deal with, not to mention how that usually means *having to navigate some kind of agression or defensiveness whenever the topics are brought up.

Personally, I don't really need privileged people to "do anything" as that apparently is too much to ask.

Accept the cognitive disonance and integrate it so we can all move forward. Don't just be snide, dismissive, or an ass about it.
